Eligibility: Open to women who have been members of the Daughters or Penelope or the Maids of Athena for at least 2 years, or whose parents or grandparents have been members of the Daughters of Penelope or the Order of AHEPA for at least 2 years. Applicants must be 1) high school seniors or recent high school graduates applying to a college, university, or accredited technical school, or 2) current undergraduates at the college leveL They must have taken the SAT or ACT (or Canadian, Greek, or Cypriot equivalent) and must write an essay (in English) about their educational and vocational goals. Selection is based on academic merit and financial need. Financial data: The stipend is $1,500 per year. Duration: I year; nonrenewable.
