Eligibility: Open to Air Force Club members and their spouses, children, and stepchildren who have been accepted by or are enrolled at an accredited college or university. Grandchildren are eligible if they are a dependent of the club member. Applicants may be undergraduate or graduate students enrolled full or part time. They must submit an essay of up to 500 words on the topic: "Air Force Clubs�Help Us Make Members First" Essays should focus on club facility, membership programming, food, beverage, and customer service. Applicants must also include a I-page summary of their long-term career and life goals and previous accomplishments, including civic, athletic, and academic awards. Financial data: Awards are scholarships of $6,000 for first place, $5,500 for second place, $4,500 for third place, $3,500 for fourth place, $3,000 for fifth place, and $2,500 for sixth place. Duration: TI:1e competition is held annually. Additional information: This competition, first held in 1997, is sponsored by First USA Bank, Coca-Cola, and MasterCard. Nwnber awarded: 6 each year. Deadline: Entries must be submitted to the member's base services commander or division chief by July of each year.
